Today at school was pretty laid back. The students were pretty well behaved, and are becoming excited for our field trip to the farm--which isn't happening until NEXT Friday. But, everyday at least one of them asks, "Are we going to the farm tomorrow??" And we reply with, "Nope, we have 9 more days..." Life of a preschool teacher... ;) On Tuesday when we introduced our field trip, one little Asian girl asked, "We get to see penguins on the farm, right?" We just laughed and replied with, "Nope, probably not!" But about this farm...the teachers have explained to me that they enjoy taking these preschoolers because at any given point, they are able to see all the students---doesn't sound like a farm to me!! Haha, but they already know that. It's just nice for these young students who aren't exposed to any of these animals, equipment, etc. a chance to see what it's all about.
And I still can't get over how cute my little British 4 year old is. He has this eye patch over his eye and glasses, and he also has this little cast on his arm from falling and breaking it. And his accent is just soo polite and adorable--he already has stolen my heart :)
My CT--Sue, and I talked about the Bachelor today. We both realized the only reason we ever watch it is because it gives us something to yell at the T.V. for, and because it gives us something to laugh about. For us both, it' has basically been a family event on Mondays...too bad he chose Courtney and had to end it all....but that's a whole different story!
I have never been a fan of red wine...but since my stay here, Joe pours himself a glass when he gets home, as well as everyone else. So, of course I'm not going to turn it down..but man! It gets to ya! Maybe Moscato will get pushed on down the line...on second thought, probably not ;) Anyway, I took my first walk/jog throughout the neighborhood, and all the houses are just beautiful. I barely even want to touch the grass that is mowed and blown onto the sidewalk... But, it definitely makes my run go faster!!
A big shot out to Sam Slattery for sending me my first postcard. I got home from school today and saw an Iowa State postcard laying on the steps. I picked it up and said to Shirley, "What? Iowa State? What is this?!" As I flipped it over, she told me it had come in the mail for me--how GREAT! I also Skyped with her and Daniel--and with Katie--it's become one of my new favorite pieces of technology--when it works right! Jeans day tomorrow! Good night everyone!
