Well, I should first start by saying, "Happy Birthday Katie!!" Yesterday was pretty busy. Shirley hosted a baby shower for her daughter-in-law Bronwyn. The decorations made by Shirley's sister Brenda were so cute! I took photos in case I happen to be in charge of putting together a shower if some of my friends happen to have a baby boy in the future ;)
I also took my first adventure out onto the town--by myself. And of course I ventured to the Galleria Shopping Mall. Let's just say I didn't even make a dent in that place! It's so neat, and I found some great deals! Got some cute dresses and jewelery, even though I went looking for shoes. Guess I will definitely be venturing back! Shirley was telling me that there are some really unique shopping areas I need to check out--too bad I didn't have an unlimited bank account....
Anyway, onto week 2 of student teaching at at Yorkshire. After actually living here for a week, I already miss everyone from back home! I've had a beyond great time so far, and have already had a wealth of wonderful experiences, but I do miss the "Iowa fun" I have with my friends too! Guess ya can't have the best of both worlds...
